Bits and bobs

Haven't posted in over a week! I've been a bit busy, trying to get a new job is hard work! I've been constantly applying day and night haha, Luckily I had an interview today which went really well, I was up against 10 other candidates and I was later told after the interview that it's between me and one other candidate for the job, even if i'm a runner up i'll be proud to of got this far!

So here's a few things I've got recently

This giiiiant Vaseline tin I got in the sale @ superdrug, I was in dire need of  lip therapy, my lips are in terrible condition! So I got this tin that contained one of each vaseline tin, I love the smell of the Aloe Vera one and Pink one is gorgeous! The big tin is also great for storage! This was £3.59 & You can find this:

Also from Superdrug I decided to get Lipcote, I have never tried of it before but stumbled across it in a magazine so decided to buy it, I have still yet to try it out but I am excited to put it to the test! This was £3.19.

Recently went on a little trip to Plymouth with the family and went shopping crraaaazy there! My mum bought me my first MAC foundation & Also another MAC powder for my birthday, So I decided to pop into H&M and get a new foundation/powder brush, and a compact mirror because the new powder I'm getting doesn't have one! Quite glad I got the 2 in 1 brush as it will come in really handy when i'm on the go and don't want to carry round a make up bag that weighs a ton! The brush was £2.99 & the mirror £1.99. You can find here:

Mirror (instore only)

Also got this when I went to Plymouth, as you know I got some MAC products for my birthday which is next thursday, The big ol' 18 ahaha, & the lady at the counter advised me to try this out because I explained how throughout the day my skin gets soooo oily no matter what I do. I have yet to try this out because I want to wait until I get my new foundation but I am intrigued! This is the Prep & Prime Face Protect SPF 50, to buy it is £21. & You can find it:

Purchased these large angel wing earrings from eBay, I think they were a big hit on either ASOS or Topshop a few months ago, & I only ever ended up getting stud versions of them so found these on eBay and got them for a bargain of £2.20!

Lastly, I have shown in a previous post this bag as I have it in Black, but decided to get it in brown, it's from H&M, in the sale for £9.99 at the moment, You can find it:

17 Treats :) currently has quite a few cool offers going on, I noticed that If you bought 2 or more selected items from 17 online from Boots, you got a free gift with the purchase (they also did this for collection 2000 but the gift wasn't very good, it was a crappy lipgloss!). The free gift itself was really cool! You got a 'Nail Bar in a bag' which included 1 Nail File, 1 Packet of Nail Art Stickers and 1 Lasting Fix Nail Polish & 1 Fast Finish Nail Polish (which are worth £2.99 each!) and it all came in a really cute pink leopard print & white bag all wrapped up in pink tissue paper, i thought it was quite attractive packaging!

The nail varnishes you get are in shades: Knockout Red & Pink Grapefruit

The things I actually bought from 17 to get this offer was:

This was £3.99, I've been eyeing this up for a while and the reviews looked great, from what I can tell so far compared to the normal 17 blusher I use this pink is very suttle and natural rosy cheek which I really like at the moment, & The highlighter was very white when I tried it out on my hand, but when I tried a bit on my cheek it wasn't as pale so it blends in good!

I also got something cheap because I didn't really want anything else haha, So I got this for £1.99, But to my surprise i'm actually quite impressed with it, it's compact and secure so the shavings don't get everywhere and it's double ended for small pencils like eyeliners etc., to big pencils like lipstick pens.

(By the way my nail polish i'm wearing in the picture is from H&M and is shade: Miss Stone Heart which you can find here for £2.99)

Snatch this deal up while you can!

Deal Of The Day - Wooden Cross Necklace

So recently i've been stocking up on cross necklaces, yeah i know, eeeeeeveryone likes that trend at the moment, but i think it's on my sort of level of style and I love big statement necklaces.

So my latest crush has been on wooden cross rosary sort of necklaces, after I saw a woman on Holiday in Menorca with this fab necklace.

I was reading a few blogs, & saw this girl who was recommending tons of her favourite online shops by follow bloggers, and I came across Giftgirls where I browsed through, found some nice jewellery and then came across

gorgeous necklace, just like i'd been wanting, but I looked at the price, it was £10, not to mention the shipping being £3 on top of that and as some of you may know, i'm a crazy discount hunter so for me that wasn't the best deal I could get! So I browsed around, looked on eBay, and found such a good deal! I got

cross necklace for £1.69 with free shipping ! and it also looks like it's longer with a bigger cross, I was so proud of my deal, They were pretty much identical, It just proves If you look a little deeper you can save yourself some pennies!

Adios :)

Few new items and my hols!

Just got back yesterday from a random last minute holiday to Menorca,

I decided to treat my Mum, as you do!

It was beautiful, not too hot but not rainy and cold either! Just how I like it!

Gorgeous beach right near our hotel too!

Here's a few pictures:

me and my sister!

& here's a couple things i've bought this week:

Got this Black cross necklace from Forever 21 online when they had free shipping for £3.55! Sadly they've sold out of this online now so I can't post the link! However, here is an alternative necklace:

Recently saw this on a girl and loved this so I asked her where she got it, little did I know it was MUA which I have a couple things from, This is the first time I've purchased a lipstick from them, but I love this, It's in Shade 3 and is a fabulous raspberry pink! If you don't know already, MUA stands for Make Up Academy and they sell this at Superdrug, The majority of items they sell is £1 just like this lipstick and it's fab value for money! I got this on the Superdrug website and It's free delivery for Fathers day until the 19th june! You can find this :

That's all for today!

some new make-up products :)

I recently purchased the No7 tinted moisturiser in shade Fair for my Holiday on Monday, It arrived today and I thought i'd test it it! I decided to buy it because my skin is so uneven with way too many blemishes and wanted something light and sheer to wear when out in the sun and in the pool etc. It happens to contain 5-star UVA Protection & SPF15. I tried it out and it's not bad for my skin, it's very very thin which is a big change for me as I need to wear medium-full coverage foundation for my blemishes and has a glowy shiny look. It does work to even out the redness but i'm not entirely sure if I like the shininess of it! When it comes to the colouring considering I purchased it online I think I made a wise decision buying this one as I've read plenty of reviews saying the majority of tinted moisturisers are really orange or streaky etc, and this one is a good colour for me, and any other pale person as It is very light and doesn't look orange when it's applied. I would recommend but I still think for me I made need powder to get rid of the horrible shininess! It's at a kind of pricey £12 but No7 isn't exactly a cheap brand! I purchased it luckily on eBay for £8.99, but you can find it at Boots:

These arrived for me today also, As you've probably seen in my most recent blog posts I've found a new make-up brand 'Technic' that happens to have Benefit dupes. Technic make these blusher mousses and although it's not a dupe of any of Benefit's product I thought the colour and the concept was awesome! I got the Peaches & Cream shade & Pink Champagne on eBay for £1.99 each. I thought the Pink Champagne could be used as a highlighter & the Peaches & Cream obviously as a blush. I tested them out this morning and Pink champagne is not bad, but you need a light hand as the consistency seems to be a bit too glittery rather than shimmery for me, and might come out tacky if not used responsibly! Whereas Peaches & Cream on the other hand, even though it is a little glittery like the other colour, it's quite a struggle to actually get the colour out, you have to use a fair bit for it to even show up! I do like both of the colours when they finally came out but I don't think it will be a product I will choose over my own 17 powder blusher. I think I may use the Pink Champagne shade but I will most probably be going to get a Topshop Cream Blush or MAC Cream blush over the Peaches & Cream mousse!
They sell these @ LoveThyMakeup:

Lastly but not least my absolute favourite item that I received today! As usual MAC can never let me down haha! I finally got around to purchasing my first ever 'Facial' make-up from MAC, which happened to be the Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation. I've never been tested out to find out what my shade is, as my nearest MAC supplier is at least 1 hour away's drive from my city! So I took a risk and made a guess, used the foundation finder on the official website and came across NC15 and NC20, I decided to go with NC20, I must of looked at a gizzzzzilion photos to make sure It wouldn't turn up and be a completely wrong shade but it arrived and was perfect! I love the soft focus it gives my skin and on top of my tinted moisturiser it helps to get rid of the shininess (thank god!) I would highly highly recommend this, I think it's the best quality powder I've ever used! I purchased mine from a reliable source on eBay for £12.80. It RRPs for £19.50 so it's pretty expensive normally!
You can find this @ MAC:
