Collective Haul for October!

So instead of just doing a normal haul with random bits I've purchased on certain days I thought I'd do another 'collective haul' because I'm a bit skint at the moment and haven't been buying tons of things haha, So this is just stuff I've collected this month and I think one or 2 might be from late last month aswell.

Gold 'Slave' Chain - eBay - £4.65
Been wanting a gold ring/hand chain thing for a while now and found this one on eBay, I could of got this cheaper if I purchased from a chinese eBay seller but couldn't be fussed with waiting 3 weeks or more for delivery so paid a little more and purchased from a UK seller! Really love this ring but the ring sizes are really small, I'm normally 17mm (or US size 7) but I think the biggest ring is like a size 6? haha! If you have tiny fingers then this will be perfect for you!

Neon Pink Clock Ring - Primark - £3
Seen this in Primark a few times now and it never really took my interest but I absolutely hate wearing watches, I feel they look really silly on me, so I thought I could provide myself with the time with a different type of jewellery!

Strappy Suede Wedges - H&M - £19.99
Recently saw these in my local H&M and fell in love! I love H&M's wedges as they are the right height for me and the soles are really thick so they're not wobbly shoes as I just cannot walk in heels to save my life! Had a bit of a dilemma with these though, I'm normally a size 6 so I purchased a 6, took them home and they were way too slidey at the back, so brought them back and got a 5 and the 5 aren't slidey now which is great but because I have wide feet the straps really dig into my foot and are so tight they might aswell the cut circulation off in my right foot haha but I'm hoping the straps will loosen a little after a few uses because they are so comfy besides that :(

Ornate Key & Pearl Short Necklace - - £10
I actually won this on twitter! AWeatheredPenny are a lovely company and they had a giveway for this specific necklace and luckily I won it! I couldn't believe it was £10 when I saw what I'd won but once I received it I realised why, because It's just so nicely detailed and the quality is really good I think it's higher than my usual Primark standard! I'm glad It's a Key pendant aswell because I don't actually have anything with a key on it! Even though I won this I really think people should check the company out, they were so lovely to me and they were so quick with posting even though with some companies if you win something they leave you last to deliver to because you won it and didn't pay for it haha.

'High Heels High Hopes' Dusty Pink Baggy Top - H&M - £9.99
Absolutely love this! I first saw it in Gracie's YouTube Video and then saw it when I went shopping in another city nearby with my friend on Monday, and was going to purchase it but then didn't, then I decided I really did like it and bought it in my local H&M on Wednesday haha. They also do this in white with black writing but I really loved the pink! I don't really like pink, because my hair is so blonde I feel like a Barbie but I absolutely love dusty pinks and faded dark pink sort of shades!

Patent Brogues/Bowling Shoes - Primark - £9.90
These were actually in the sale in Primark down from £14, I don't think I would of paid that much for them but they are very comfy and I don't own any 'brogue' style shoes because I've purchased ones from Primark before and they just look too 'skinny' on my feet and make my legs look weird :S but these are more structured and I think they quite resemble bowling shoes! A few of my friends absolutely hate these but oh well, when I saw them I thought, 'these look so ugly but somehow they are beautiful', My mind is strange aha :P

Dark Green Chiffon Blouse - H&M - £14.99
(Got mine for £11.24 with discount from
My favourite thing about this top is the colour! The arms are nice and baggy aswell which I love, Kind of wish I got a size smaller, because I thought It may be tighter fitting and I love baggy but it's a bit unflatteringly loose and I got a size bigger than I normally am when I think my normal size would of been fine but meh. This looks gorgeous with a short gold necklace/torque!

Miracle Mattifier Moisturiser - Good Things @ Superdrug - £4.99 (RRP: £7.99)
This was luckily on offer @ Superdrug whereas in Boots it was still £7.99, Didn't even think they sold it in Superdrug but hey ho they do! I tried this when Good Things were offering mini samples on their Facebook, didn't think I'd have much use for it but thought 'Oh well, It's free!', But I'm actually really surprised how much I like this, My skin is terribly oily and I've come to realise it is the reason why I still get 'teenage' spots, but I've been using this stuff religiously the past week and it's really cleared my skin up because It's been getting rid of the excess oil which has stopped breaking me out! It's kind of pricey normally but If it continues to work wonders I will continue using this! If you suffer from really oily skin like me you neeeed to try this! It's great to put on before you put on make-up also!

Conditioning Whipped Cream - Milk_Shake - £13.70
I recently joined a website called 'Talk Perfection' which was introduced to me by a website I visit religiously, MagicFreebiesUK which is basically a website that lets you know all the latest freebies which companies are giving out, and this 'Talk Perfection' website in particular provides a way of getting the chance to 'Trial and Review' a certain product by simply entering by answering a question they have provided in a comment on the blog post for it, I entered this one and got chosen! I received a full 200ml size bottle of 'Conditioning Whipped Cream' which is by a company called 'Milk_Shake', I've personally never heard of the company before but I'm definately up for trying new things! This bottle is normally just under £14 so I'm quite a lucky girl to get this free! I tried this out this morning and it's basically just a foam/mousse that you put in your hair whilst it's damp and makes your hair softer, helps hold colour and deeply conditions your hair without weighing it down, I think this product is pretty good! It's made my hair super soft, It's not sticky at all but doesn't make my hair so conditioned that it looks greasy which is great! I think the only downside is that the product smells of 'sweet milk' which is personally too sickly for my taste and it seems to make other products (such as hairspray) less affective!

Glam Eyes Day 2 Night Mascara - Rimmel - £4.70 ( on eBay: RRP is £7.99)
I've seen so many reviews on this and just got around to purchasing! Bought mine off eBay just in case it wasn't very good but I'm actually pretty impressed with it! I personally thought I would like the 'Volume' side more as I love big thick lashes but I think I prefer the 'Length' side, You can't notice as much how long they are from far away because the volume isn't there but it's just a great day look and I tried the whole 'Day 2  Night' routine the other day and wore 'Length' throughout the day time and then added 'Volume' when I went out, made my eyelashes HUGE because the 'Length' had was dried! I still think the Magic cap is amazing, I am so easily amused ! :P

Matte Lipstick in Diva - MAC - £13.50
Got this when I went shopping with my friend on Monday, I saw this on Rhiannon's YouTube channel and fell in love with it! Mainly because I wanted a dark vampy red for Halloween and It's definately a shade I don't have! When I first saw this in the store on the stick it looked really browny and awful but when I tested it out on my hand It looked gorgeous! And It looks great on my lips, well worth the £13 I think!

Skull Plastic Mug - Wilkinsons - £1.80
Bit of a random item to show you but I absolutely love this! Got this from Wilkinsons the other day in the Halloween section and within like 2 days they are already sold out! For £1.80 I think it's a great bargain and I love skulls! They also had plastic skull shot glasses and a plastic skull pitcher! Wish I bought it all  :P BTW that's milk in the mug haha, shows the skull face up more, plus I love milk. haha.

That's all folks!

Massive ramblings today, I know, but I haven't posted in a while so hopefully you don't mind the excessive writing!

October '11 Glossybox - 'Six Pack'

Today I have another Glossybox post for you! This months Glossybox consisted of 6 items instead of the usual 5, to celebrate this being the 6th Glossybox since release! This month also had a lot of more well known products which made this box a favourite with a lot of people, Sadly for me some of the products I wouldn't use so no matter the brand it's a bit sucky!

They also provided a super size info card instead of the usual smaller sized ones and this one also had QR codes so that you could scan to get to the relevant companies websites, which is a great feature!

Here is my box! After seeing other reviews I've noticed that everyone has exactly the same products this month except the nail polish which comes in 3 different shades, which stops a lot of drama on the Glossybox customer service side as loads of people crave what others have got!

(All retail for £65 for 50ml & £95 for 100ml)
I have to say I'm getting a bit annoyed with all the Perfume samples Glossybox keep providing! I don't really like perfume, I'm not a huge perfume wearer to be honest! A lot of people didn't like last months Plum perfume but I like that one more than the majority of these samples! I really don't like the Visa & Calypso fragrances and gave the samples to my mum! But I do like the Fracas one, it's more up my street, daintier and floral! Whereas I feel the other samples smell so strongly they remind me of men's cologne D: I do like the little pink bag it came in though! aha :P

Dermalogica Multivitamin Thermafoliant
Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque
Dermalogica Renewal Lip Complex & Beauty Bag
This is actually a travel set I later found out from googling online and it's worth around £30!
You can buy on Amazon: here
Everyone was so excited about the Dermalogica products but I'm not actually that fussed! Originally I wouldn't of used this because I thought there is no point because it's aimed at Aging Skin etc. and I'm only 18! But I decided to give it a go because apparently it's better to start products like these at a younger age and helps you in the long run! I don't use masks so the Power Recovery Masque was kind of out the window! Plus it says 'Recovery' and says it's supposed to help skin recover from Age damage, which I don't have! I tried out the Thermafoliant but it dried some of my skin out and made it quite sore but I think that's be cause I opted for the 'intensive' way of using it (which is using it dry), and the Lip Complex comes in very handy for me because I have awfully chapped lips that are constantly dry and this stuff smells really good, it feels nice on the lips (non-sticky) and also has a proper applicator so you can apply from the packaging (like a lipgloss tube!), The bag is fab aswell, I've wanted a smaller make-up bag for a while now so this is ideal! I gave the Masque & Thermafoliant to my mum because she's used the Thermafoliant in the past and loves Dermalogica products so this was a real treat for her (as she normally buys the samples from eBay anyway because it's so expensive for the full size!)

Leighton Denny Nail Polish in Babydoll - Full size product (RRPs @ £11.00)
I really like the colour of this nail polish, I haven't got a colour like this so it's a good one to add to my collection! I've never heard of Leighton Denny before but this polish is a really nice creamy texture and applies well and you only really need one coat! This was the only item this month that people didn't all get the same version of, They also had the colours 'Sex Kitten' which is a metallic bluey/silver (my sister got this!) and 'Hanky Panky' which was a metallic tangerine shade. I think the 'Babydoll' shade has been discontinued because every website I like on states that it's out of stock!

Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Moray - Full size product (RRPs @ £13.00)
My favourite product of this month's box! A lot of people keep saying they would of preferred to see a Black/Grey/Brown eye-liner but I'm actually really glad we have this shade! It's got amazing staying power and really does NOT budge and is even quite hard to take off with a face wipe! I used this on a night out all over the lid after seeing someone's Twitter pic and then wore a brown shadow in the crease and it looked amazing! Stayed all night and didn't crease but I also used Urban Decay's primer potion underneath to help it stay! Really happy with this product but I know I can't use it all over the lid much more because it's a retractable liner and using this once ended up with me having to twist some more out twice so this will go really quickly If I continue using it this way!

I quite like a few of these products but I think last month's box was better!

Hope you enjoyed this post!

Sunday's Purchases

Yesterday I went to a car boot sale with my Nan, because I really wanted to find some bargains :P As you do! Sadly there wasn't really all that much there and all we got was a necklace for me & a Christmas present for my sister! But both of the items were value for money! We then went back to town and went for lunch and got a few other bits to make up for our lack of success at the boot sale!

Gold Tri-Band Torque/Necklace - Car boot sale - 50p
This is the necklace I got, My nan was actually the one who spotted it! I think it's gorgeous and I think I like it better than the gold torque I got recently from Dorothy Perkins that was £4 when this one was only 50p! I also noticed this is actually from Accessorize as it has a gold tag on it with an Accessorize 'A' engraved on it, so it may actually be around £8 or more as Accessorize is quite expensive.

Gold Triangular Earrings - Primark - £1.50
I've wanted these earrings for a while now, Kept debating on whether to get them but finally took the plunge and bought them! They don't go with the necklace all too well because they are so long and the necklace is so short, plus they are both big statement items so I think this would look better with a long dainty necklace!

I wasn't initially sure on whether to get this palette because I have the Sleek 'Storm' Palette which is full of natural/smoky shades but 'Storm' is a bit bolder and more vibrant which is this palette is more subtle! I love the purply 'Regal' shade and the goldeny 'Moss' shade. I love the Sleek palettes because they are such a bargain but the pigment of the shadows are amazing!

Lastly I just had to blog about this yummy milkshake from Shakeaway haha! Bit random! But I had this yummy Parma Violet shake made with fat free frozen yoghurt instead of ice cream, I have to say I think I actually preferred the fro-yo over the ice cream version! But I absolutely love parma violets and thought this would taste weird together but it was gorgeous! So If you have a Shakeaway near you I definitely recommend you try it! :P

Collective Haul!

All this stuff has been purchased in the last 1/2 months! Got really lazy with doing haul posts but decided to finally do one!

Powder Brush - - £3.50
I got the ELF Powder Brush because they had their 40% off 'After Dark' promotion and I've heard so many good reviews about it! I haven't tried it out yet but it's super soft & I love how dense it is I think it will apply powder so much better than the Stipple brush I use!

Mineral Blush in Coral - - £3.50
I also got a blush from ELF's mineral range in shade Coral, I recently saw this in a youtube video in the shade 'Joy' but I thought the Coral looked like a colour that would suit me more I'm not a huge fan of pinks at the moment but I'm actually a little disappointed and wish I got the shade 'Joy'! It's sooo subtle and on my hand it came out very very sheen and you could barely see it, like it was almost as if it was exactly the same colour as my skin unless you built it up more, I haven't tried this on my face yet but i'm keeping my fingers crossed cause my hand/arms are quite an 'olive' tone and darker than my face and especially when I have foundation on! If not I'm hoping to use this with my bronzer, I'm not the type to wear both bronzer and blush because I don't like wearing browns with pinks? but I think if this is subtle it will look really nice!

Essential 32 Piece Palette in Natural - - £6.00
I'm actually so glad I purchased this! I wasn't going to because I heard some of the colours were really horribly pigmented but I'm pleasantly surprised! There are a few shades which are badly pigmented, the glittery beige in the right corner for example comes up with nothing but scattered glitter to be honest! and 1 or 2 of the matte shades aren't very pigmented, but I really like the glittery ones and the pinks are such a nice subtle neutral tone! I think that even though a few of them are bad, £6 for 32 eye shadows is awesome! It's also a really compact palette!

Here's a few swatches, I actually mixed the matte white in the far left corner on the top row with the far right glittery one (the bad one!) and it went quite nice haha.

Brown Cross Stud Earrings - Coleyful Blog Shop - £2.50
I won these studs in a twitter competition Nichole was having, So happy I did because I just love her jewellery! & I haven't stopped wearing these studs! I'm not a huge fan of studs because I like 'statement' earrings, but these are a really good size, not massive but big for studs so they stand out!

YSL Arty Ring Fake - eBay - £1.58
I absolutely love this, I bought it from a Hong Kong eBay Shop so It took almost a month to get here! 21 days! But it was so worth it, This ring is actually a really good dupe, I've seen some fakes which aren't that similar at all but I think this one is! I've noticed the price has risen since I purchased it but I've seen some fake's at a minimum of £10 especially if you want to purchase them from British eBay stores!

Gold Swirl Ring - Topshop - £6.50 (Only In store)
I got this as an exchange for the Topshop evil eye ring everyone seems to have! Because it was AWFUL quality! Went coppery and turned my finger green after wearing twice and less than a week of purchase! I returned exactly a week after the day I purchased haha! So I got this one instead and I love it! It's so simple but it's different and I've had no issues with it and it hasn't turned my finger green!

Gold Bangle - H&M - £6.99
I bought this because I think it's something simple and easy that will go with a lot of outfits and other gold jewellery! It's a nice fit also but I just think the price is a bit steep for a bangle!

Stag/Deer Bracelet - eBay - £2.15
Ok so you may notice that the bracelet linked looks different from my one, that's because I took off several of the chains! I know, you're probably thinking 'why? It looked nice before?', but it just did not lay right on me at all with all those chains, it just looked messy and tangled and nothing like in the photo so I just took tons of the chains off and kept the one! It lays so much better but it was only £2.15 so not a massive issue!

Extra Long Owl Necklace - ASOS - £1.50 (sale)
So happy with this purchase! I wanted to get an extra long gold necklace with a dainty pendant to replace my Gold Cross Necklace you've probably seen wear loooooads because It had gone really coppery and brassy and the chain had turned silver and it was just disgusting! So I had to chuck it! But I found this little beauty in the ASOS sale, even though I'm not a huge fan of the Owl pendant myself it's so tiny you can't really notice it's an owl haha.

Identity Tag Bracelet - - £6.00
I purchased this when I won £50 from a Twitter competition with to spend at a retailer of my choice from Style Compare's website so I picked Boohoo! I got this bracelet because I don't have any simple silver bracelets!

Red Croc Print Bag - - £12.00
Jewelled Skull Key Ring - - £2.00
I got these two with my £50 gift card, As you can see the key ring doesn't come with the bag but I had £2 left and needed to buy something so I thought this key ring would look really good with the bag! The key ring itself is pretty heavy so it's best to use it with a bag you're not going to put much in or else it will feel really heavy haha, The bag is smaller than I thought It would be which is a shame cause I'm got to force my purse into it because it's a long rectangular one!

Striped Chiffon Blouse - - £20.00
Probably my favourite purchase from my £50 at Boohoo, I like the monochrome look with this and how it's kind of like 'chanel-esque' It's got a different print at the back which I was actually considering cutting the tag out so I could wear it backwards aswell cause I really like it haha! I think the only downside is this is really oversized & I'm not sure If it flatters me very much but I can wear a fitted jacket to bring it in at the sides a bit! Gutted that the price has reduced though!

If you're wondering why my order doesn't add up to £50 it's because I bought some things before and they didn't fit so I had to send them back and then lost £4 for postage and £2 on a re-stocking fee! Then the 2nd order I had to pay £4 for postage again :(

Faux Fur Stole - H&M -  £12.99
You've probably seen these everywhere at the moment but I just love it! Not sure how I feel about it on me yet though because I feel it looks so bulky on me! meh! Trying to find the right thing to pair it with!

Rust Batwing Shirt - Republic - £24.99
I got this weeks ago now and never posted it but I don't know why haha? I love the colour so much, my picture doesn't do it any justice at all! It's flattering and comfy and I love the baggy arms :)

Gold Torque - Dorothy Perkins - £4.25 (sale)
I got this a few weeks ago aswell and this looks so nice paired with the shirt above, It's sooo high up to my neck which I'm not used to considering I always wear long necklaces! But It looks really good with shirts buttoned up.

Bit random to include this but I have found this so handy! My dressing table was getting attacked with necklaces and because all my necklaces have such big pendants I couldn't put them in my jewellery box so I got this stand to put the all on and it looks so much better!

By the way the nail polish I'm wearing in the pictures is Ciate's 'Wait Until Dark' from a previous Marie Claire magazine, In case you were wondering!

Hope you liked this post!
