Glossybox April '12 - The Natural Box

This months Glossybox theme is 'The Natural Box', It's basically a biodegradable box with sand paper coloured tissue paper, A 'ropey' texture bow and instead of the usual black 'confetti' packaging it's a brown neutral colour. The products themselves are all described as 'natural' or 'organic' in some way or form!

Ayuuri 'Neem' Natural Body Wash; Inika Certified Organic Eyeliner in 06 Coco; Figs & Rouge 'Rambling Rose' Lip, Face & Body Balm; Kai Perfume Oil; Caudalie SOS Thirst-Quenching Serum.

This box was actually okay, compared to other people's boxes I got a really good lot of items that I would all use at some point. I'm going to keep the Figs & Rouge lip balm in it's packaging, as I received one of these balms in a previous beauty box and didn't use it then and won't use it now, so I'd rather keep it to give as a gift! I absolutely love the Ayuuri body wash, it smells strongly of tea tree and peppermint and it's a full size 200ml product worth £4.95, I will definitely use this all up! The Inika eye-liner I luckily got in a brown colour, so no doubt I'll use it with a neutral eye or I imagine it would make a good brow pencil but unfortunately for me it's too much of a warm brown and I can only use cool browns on my brows because of my hair colour! The Kai perfume oil is really very nice, I unluckily never seem to be able to wear perfume for long, as it always wears off on me, this stuff is really strong and I could still smell it on myself after several hours! I've received a Caudalie product in a beauty box before, I previously had a body lotion and it was the most gorgeous smelling and smoothing body lotion I've ever tried! I'm still a bit unsure on what this really does, it's pretty much a skin hydrator but I'm not sure how this will work for me because I suffer from oily skin!

All in all, The box is good, I like the products, there's nothing really I wouldn't use or have some use for (even if it's giving it away as a gift) but this is actually my last Glossybox for now, I can't really afford to pay out the £12.95 (inc. p&p) a month for products that I don't really need at the moment!

OOTN: Skulls & Leather

I went out clubbing Monday night and this is a few pictures of what I wore, I actually took these pictures a few days before so I haven't added any accessories/shoes but I wasn't really wearing anything I haven't before so I thought I'd leave it haha!

Pretty much the majority of this outfit is new stuff so as goes with my last outfit post, I won't add prices but I will be showing these items (including prices and links etc.) in an upcoming haul anyway :)

Skull Blouse -
(Isn't meant to be worn like this but my boobs are currently too big for the top, it's a size 12-14 and I'm a 16!)
Faux Leather Skirt - H&M
Black Vest - Primark
Suspender Tights - Henry Holland
(On Monday I wore these cheap ones from eBay though, they ripped that same night :[)

Back of the outfit

Suspender tights!

Bowler Hat - Topshop (Circa 2008)
(I thought a bowler hat would look quite nice with it, but I didn't actually wear the hat out as I was worried I would lose it!)

Just a few pictures from Monday!

Hope you liked this post :)

Friday Freebie!

A few weeks ago I saw a great freebie at MagicFreebiesUK where if you liked the L'Oreal Facebook page and shared an 'Elnett Moment' you could be entered into a prize draw with the chance to win 1 of 5000 L'Oreal lipsticks. The 'Elnett Moment' required you to use their application and provide a small paragraph of when you have used their Elnett hairspray for a special moment. I said that I used it for my first date with my boyfriend a few years ago, and I was lucky enough to be chosen for a freebie!

It says on the packaging it is best suited to light brunettes, but I think it goes really well with my hair colour! The shade is a lovely pinky toned red, I really dislike pinks on me as I always think it makes me look like a Barbie doll, but this shade is great for me to have some form of a pink lipstick! I don't think the pictures do it justice because I personally think it looks much more pink in real life, it's also got a lovely sparkly texture to it which I didn't think I would like!

The lipstick itself RRP's for £8.19 so it's definitely a steal!

Unfortunately, I don't think the competition is still open but I highly recommend anyone to subscribe to the MagicFreebiesUK newsletter to see if any more freebies like this become available!

Collective Haul for March/April 2012! [HEAVY PICTURE POST]

This is a huge collective haul for March, I've been buying like crazy!

Olive Green Baggy Hoody - Mens section @ Primark - £12
I've seen these all over online and I absolutely fell in love with this colour so I thought I'd get it, the weathers been pretty rubbish the last few days and it's come in so handy to snuggle up in and for when I just wanna chuck something on! I have a size XL for a baggy/oversize look.

I've been eyeing up the all over leopard print leggings for ages but on my thick thighs they do not look flattering so I opted for an alternative, these leggings have a leopard panel going down the front and then they are all over black on the back, I absolutely love them! I did have to get a size smaller due to the not so good quality.

The hoodie/leggings as an outfit

2 Pack Skull Headbands/Bandanas - Primark - £2.50
Great for summer and they also do these in a bright blue/orange pack too I think!

Gold 7cm Hoop Earrings - eBay - £2.74 (inc. p&p)
Really been wanting some gold thin hoops for ages now, I think they are starting to become a good trend again, They do multi-packs of hoops in Silver/Gold in Primark for only £1 for about 5 sets of earrings so I was disappointed to find that out after I bought these!

Vintage 80's Real Leather Biker Jacket - eBay - £34 (inc. p&p)
Absolutely in love with this, I saw the eBay listing when it had 30 seconds to go, it was a starting bid of £30 (with £4 postage) and there were no bids on it, so I swooped in at the last minute and bidded! It's real leather, vintage 80's, and it weighs about 7 lbs so this will probably be saved for winter as due to the weight/thickness I would probably sweat to death haha!

Aztec Black/White Print Sheer Chiffon Shirt - Primark - £10
I only bought this yesterday, They only had a size smaller and a size bigger than what I am so I opted to try the size smaller and it's actually (unbelievably) a perfect fit!

Aztec shirt with black leggings & F21 spike necklace

Vertical Stripe Shirt - Topshop - £38
The most expensive of my purchases recently but I really love this shirt, It's great for all sizes, It's not too oversized that it drowns smaller sizes and it's just the right type of fitted for bigger sizes, It falls in just the right way, no button bursting, but it's also not too big that it makes me look bigger than I am ! The material is lovely with a chiffon feel and slightly sheer, not as sheer as everyone makes out to be, and I would know because I absolutely hate really sheer things on me! The vertical stripes are also incredibly flattering and the sleeves are looser and slightly puffy on the shoulders which evens out my figure so much better! I thought the length might lay funny on the love handles and cut me off in the wrong way but it is just perfect! Can't recommend this enough, This is my new favourite shirt!

How I wore the shirt the other night, I used the bow from a Primark blouse I showed in my last haul.

Lee Tartan Oversize Shirt - eBay - £10.50 (inc. p&p)
I literally spent several hours searching eBay for the perfect tartan shirt and I could not find any, then one day I saw a girl had put up a men's shirt but she was around my size and estimated this would fit sizes 12-18 (I honestly don't think it would of fitted a 12, it's still really big on me and i'm a 16!) But I was determined I was going to bid whatever until I won this as I could not find a good one anywhere else! In the end I won it for £8 and £2.50 p&p!

Tartan shirt with Revlon fire & ice lipstick and curls the other day :)

I hope you liked this post!

The writing is probably pretty rusty as I haven't done a proper blog post in a month so I do apologise!
